We asked this server to resolve a room alias on our own domain, which requires it to federate out to us, but we never received that request. This usually means an outbound firewall or NAT is blocking connections on port 443/8448, or DNS egress is broken, even though incoming federation (everything else on this page) works fine.

The Matrix spec says /.well-known/matrix/server SHOULD be served as application/json, but requires it to be parsed as JSON regardless, this delegation is still honored. Setting the header correctly is still good practice, since not every implementation is as lenient as the spec requires.
